Parade 2021

Thank you!

2021 Kenilworth Parade Participants:

Yes! We made it! We showed our Louisiana Resiliency in waiting out the weather and having a successful Independence Day Parade on Saturday. Thanks to all of you who withstood the drenching rain of 5pm for the nice parade weather of 6:30pm. You put on a nice show for the parade-goers. They were sure glad to see a parade for the first time in 15 months!

The winners of our awards this year are:

My personal favorite was the jeep with a Statue of Liberty on top.

Thanks to all who came out to ride and to all who helped to organize the parade and make it a success. Thanks to Mayor Sharon Weston Broome and her staff for their help and input. Thanks to Linda Fredericks of Home after Home Realty for again sponsoring the flags displayed throughout Kenilworth. Thanks to Robert's Fresh Market for water bottles for the parade and their support of the neighborhood. Thanks to the "Kitchen Sessions" band for playing Celtic music in front of the school before the parade and adding to the festive atmosphere. Thanks to USAA Insurance Company for their support of the parade. And thanks to Kenilworth Science and Technology School for the use of their grounds as the staging area for the parade.

The Advocate posted some nice parade pictures.

We also have pictures posted on the Kenilworth Civic Association page in Facebook

We look forward to seeing you next year, for the 50th Annual Independence Day Parade!

We would be honored to have your organization participate in the parade, one of the largest events in Louisiana celebrating our nation’s independence, and join the hundreds of participants and thousands of spectators it receives each year. The annual parade is a Baton Rouge tradition, and this year will mark the 49th time we gather to celebrate our great nation!

The parade is a great event to showcase your organization and reach thousands of Baton Rouge citizens in a fun, family friendly atmosphere, or just participate and have fun! Families are welcome to participate in the parade as well. Join us and have fun waving flags or playing patriotic music and celebrating our great nation in your unique style

All organizations are welcome to join in on this patriotic event: Veteran's Groups, Schools, Civic and Non-Profit Groups, Churches & Religious Organizations, Government entities, Family Groups, Car Clubs, etc...!

The 2021 parade is scheduled to roll at 6:30 pm on Saturday, July 3rd. It lasts about an hour and rolls as long as weather permits.
